Last night was date #2, and we went to the baseball game. It was a great night for the game, and he had great seats. I was a little apprehensive just because a baseball game is a big commitment, but thought having something to do would help with the potential awkwardness. As some of my friends pointed out it would also show if he had any weird behaviors like getting trashed, yelling obnoxious stuff, hissing at opposing fans, booing Santa, puking on cops, streaking across the field or throwing batteries. I could be getting myself into something interesting!
I decided on wearing dark skinny jeans, a fitted t-shirt and flat silver sandals. Cute & casual.
We met outside, and my first impression was that he was cute. He has a shaved head that I only glimpsed once because he wore a hat. Finally a cute one!
A cute one that had 7 beers. Aggressive.
I did like having something to focus on, but it was hard to have the getting to know you conversation. We stayed for the whole game (home team lost) and then went to a bar nearby while I waited for parking lot traffic to die down. He said we'd go for waters and sodas. He had another beer.
That was kind of a turn-off for me. I can drink with the best of them (ok, not the best of them, but the decent ones!), but we're on a date. The beers were expensive. I had 2 beers in case you were wondering.
He didn't seem that nervous, but maybe he was?

Better During Round 2?
So I have been emailing back and forth with this one guy. He seems nice & his pictures look cute. After I had told him my name, he told me we had been out before. Two times. Oops. I have zero recollection of our first date, but do remember date number two.
It was three years ago. Do I give it a whirl again?

Normal guy sent me another text message last night. I kind of ignored him the past two times. I said maybe next week since I'm heading out of town (again) this weekend. I don't know. We'll see. I don't want to lead him on, but I do want to give it a fair chance. While he was SO nice I wasn't super attracted to him. I say no go, but so many people tell me give it more than one chance.
I have date two lined up for next week. Baseball game. What do I wear?!?! No team gear.
Other than this guy there are 2 others I've been emailing back and forth with for quite a bit now. I am anxious to meet them too!

Date One: Normal Guy?
I can't come up with kitschy name for this guy!
We had a few emails going back and forth. They were pretty sporadic. He just bought a house, and was in the middle of moving. Totally understandable. His pictures didn't knock my socks off, but he wasn't ugly so I decided to give it a whirl.
We met at a wine bar for some drinks. Conversation went very well. It was not awkward at all. He seems really nice. Close with his family. Loves his job. He's from NY (Long Island). All good stuff on paper.
There was just no spark! No chemistry. I didn't want to kiss him.
He wore flip flops.
I know the second date can tell more. I'm not expecting fireworks, but if I don't want to kiss you after one glass each of sangria, white wine and prosecco will I ever want to?
He sent me a text message yesterday asking to go out again this week. Timing doesn't work for me this week. Maybe next week.

Guess who's back. Back again.
Tae is back. Tell your friends!
I signed back up for online dating. A different site. Hopefully with different results.
When I told my cousin that's what I was doing, she reminded me of this blog. I reread all of my posts, and I am really glad I wrote about them. So here we go.
Online dating is still very overwhelming. There is an app for it, but the app kind of stinks. I have to remember to set aside time in the evenings to weed through the emails.
One of the first guys I started emailing with seemed pretty cute. Emails seemed normal enough. I should have been wary of his kind of duck face in one picture. We decided to move to text messaging.
Again, pretty normal conversation. Questions going back and forth. When I mentioned I was from NY he said "you better not want to move back there." While [I think] it was a joke, WTF? That should have been my first huh? moment. Other than that the conversation was fine. He said you should call me tomorrow. I responded that I had family in town so I would have to play it by ear. The messages that followed after are why I will refer to him as Crazy #1.

The Runner
Last night I went out with The Runner. I had a few emails with him the last time I was on the site, but we never met up. So we decided to meet up again. He's another Buddhist that doesn't drink (for real). I couldn't figure out why. Is it religious or because he has an alky in the family (true). I told him I did, and he didn't seem to have an issue with that.
We decided to meet at a Starbucks. Then we would wing it if we wanted to. His pictures weren't the most clear, but I took a chance. He is by far the cutest guy I've met on here. 6'4" (my perfect height), big shoulders (he's very physically fit), shaved head. I think brown eyes. Italian and then some other stuff. We wound up having coffee, then getting something to eat and then hopping into the mall quick. He wanted suggestions on what to get his mom for Christmas (she celebrates, he does not). I picked out Ugg Slippers. Done and done.
There wasn't a mention of getting together again or not. It was fun, but I don't think there was a love connection. He's thinking of joining the Air Force. Our lifestyles are so different, so I don't know.
I would probably go out with him again, but I won't be bent out of shape if I don't hear from him again.
On to the next one!

He goes on to list his favorite color (blue), food (Italian & Mexican), Movies (Howard the Duck), him loving kids so I shouldn't have a problem with him (no where on my page does it say I have or want any), and his likes.

I'm Back
I have been kind of missing this blog. It's getting colder, and I'm getting bored so I decided to log into my trusty online dating account. I gave it slight upgrades. So I will continue to talk about my experience with that on my blog in addition to anything else that's on my mind including, but certainly not limited too, food, makeup, movies & TV. Feel free to chime in at any time! I hope to give this bad boy a new look (maybe even some pictures!) in the near future so you'll see some changes.
I will tell you now that pretty much the first person to contact me was Greekazoid. 3 emails. Asking if we could give it another go since we didn't nothing wrong to each other. I don't do crazy. I didn't respond. I hope he gets the hint!
I've been chatting (via email on the site) with two guys who I had actually started talking to last time I was on. Never met either one of them, but one is a Buddhist (I know, been there done that) and a runner with a large tattoo. The other is also Greek, but hopefully not crazy.
Also I did go out with the Teacher again, and he gave me the whillies.
